#23121952
This is a continuation for the ticket # 22944509 -- issue has not been resolved and was closed by PW Maintenance Jesse on 10/28/2026. The ornamental grasses have still not been trimmed at Coronado and Main St. -- it was only trimmed on one side of the intersection. Driver and pedestrian visibility is still blocked. The ornamental grasses lining Main Street and W. Atlantic needs to be trimmed ASAP. It is blocking visibility for pedestrians, drivers, and bicyclists alike, leading to near misses at the intersections. I can barely see adult pedestrians, let alone SMALL CHILDREN, when they are crossing. This issue has already been logged multiple times by countless residents. The city needs to hire a better city planner who doesn't keep dismissing the landscaping plans as 'within guidelines'. It's clearly not working in practice -- not only is the landscape maintenance schedule not effective for these types of plants, the city needs to reconsider what plant types (low lying, drought tolerant) would be suitable for intersections and cross walks specifically.
Resubmitting opens a fresh form pre-filled with this ticket's location and category. The city dispatches the new report independently.
