Subject: Urgent Safety Concern & Request for Restriping: Faded Lane Lines on Northbound Webster Street (Route 260) Location: Northbound Webster Street (CA-260) immediately following the crosswalk. Issue Description: Heading northbound on Webster Street (right roadway) (Starbucks-> INnOut), the dashed lane striping between the leftmost lane (Lane 1) and the middle lane (Lane 2) is severely worn, faded, and virtually invisible. As the roadway curves slightly to the left, the lack of visible lane boundaries creates a severe safety hazard. Drivers traveling in the first lane (left lane ) regularly fail to follow the alignment of the road and drive straight, drifting directly into the middle lane (Lane 2). This issue has repeatedly resulted in near-miss collisions. Drivers in the middle lane are forced to move into the bus lane (right lane) when pushed by the drivers from the left that do not follow the road allignment and drive straight (getting into the middle lane). In the most dangerous incident, I was nearly sideswiped in the right lane while a bus was actively traveling in the bus lane to my right, leaving absolutely nowhere to safely dodge or escape.Requested Action:Repaint and refresh the dashed lane line markings between the left and middle lanes along this stretch to clearly delineate lane boundaries around the road alignment shift. Consider adding dotted extension lines (cat-track lines) through the slight roadway curve to guide drivers safely within their respective lanes.
