Description

We passed by this location many times, and each time we have to be super careful because there are no stop signs at all. There’s a blind spot on the left side at the end of the Alameda Fitness and Spa parking lot towards Safeway. The tall bushes are blocking the view of drivers turning in from Willie Stargell to see the pedestrians planning to cross. Luckily, we stopped at the corner because we saw a car coming, but he was surprised to see us stopping there. After this car turned, we continued to cross but almost got hit by this car driving from the front of Safeway towards the Alameda Fitness and Spa parking lot. It’s possible that because he was driving towards the East and the sun was blinding, but if there were a stop sign, then he would have stopped and checked before he took off. He was very apologetic, and luckily we weren’t hurt. I think there need to be some stop signs installed there so pedestrians can cross the area more safely.
