Description

I am requesting an urgent housing code enforcement inspection of my apartment. On October 12, 2026, my apartment experienced significant flooding caused by a plumbing leak originating from the upstairs unit. Water entered through my bathroom ceiling and walls, resulting in damage that required portions of the ceiling and walls to be opened. As of October 28, my bathroom remains unusable, and the repairs have not been completed. I have repeatedly contacted property management requesting repairs, documentation, and a timeline for restoring my bathroom. I also learned from the upstairs tenant that she reportedly notified management about the plumbing leak approximately three weeks before my apartment flooded. I am requesting an official inspection to document the damage, determine whether the apartment meets California habitability requirements, and identify any necessary corrective action.
