if the city of antioch is going to allow private residents to use the street for there private parking i would like the city to enforce storing of trailers & trucks that i think dont even run or are registered as they have not moved in years. if people are allowed to park them on the front yard and storage these truck and trailers like its a place to store things that they dont use, and take up the public street for all the other cars they own is to me infringing on my right to enjoy the same space you allow these residents to not follow the codes and parked on the lawn maybe u could paint my curb red.inthe front of my place . these rude neighbors dont seem to understand how rude it is to take up my right to enjoy vistors or steet parking. between 36 and 38 e. madill residents they have bigger driveways and each house if parked right can fit 2 cars making them have 4 spaces. my home can fit 1 car in driveway but they keep being rude parking across the street infront of my home taking up the 2 spaces . yes its public but if thats true I dont see any spaces to park on there side ever because they have so many cars. if the city cant do anything about rude neighbors I would think that they would be fined for parking on there front yard and should be fined for the past year because I can show that this has been reported a handful of times and the issue is still going on. I am feeling someone in the department is there friend. the public street is for cars that come and go . and the 72 hr thing is a joke for an issue like this because they just keep cars all the way up to that day and then move it . if they are going to be disrespectful about parking infront of my home because they got to many cars that dont move in there yard then I guess I will have to make the city do there job on fining them for unregistered none running and that trailer hasnt moved in two years seems like it should be in a storage yard or behind a fence. maybe the neighbor @ 40 e.madill can rent there driveway out because they park a car across the street in front of 38 e. madill taking up a space when they have an empty driveway. or 41 e. madill who has a big driveway but leaves her van on the street doesnt move it until I have to complain about people parking in from of my home who dont leave here or visiting here. why is it okay for people who are private residents allowed to use the street for their private parking and their private driveways are unused and open? its starting to feel kind of a discrimination toward me as a white woman. I dont park in front of their homes or have my guest park in front of their homes. ive been here almost 30 yrs and for the last 4 to 5 yrs its been miserable with the rudeness of these neighbors. I am the only one who keeps up the gutter in front of my home I make sure the street drain is cleared in front of 35 e.madill because they dont. my yard is clean and its bad enough looking at there unkempt yard and street etc. that they know I dont want them parking over here and they keep on doing it. like 1 out 10 times I have company I dont have anywhere but behind my car blocking the sidewalk for my company to come visit me. there has been times where I had to pound on my neighbors door because I was blocked I. from one of there cars. other times where the ability to backout safely was not safe or where I needed to move stuff out of my garage but they took up my whole front of the house with there dirty over size crap that I couldnt even move my car in front to do that. I like to change my oil sometimes I cant do that. but across the street they can run a repair shop all day ..amazing how they can do all that but I cant even have the front of my home for myself and my guest. I really hope this can be addressed with my neighbors . must good neighbors understand common courtesy. its an unspoken respect. ive lived in many neighborhoods with parking issues. if the issue is them have too many cars for the size of there home maybe they should look to down size cars or find a bigger place. making the enjoyment of another residents living obstructed with there cars.
