During rainfall, a large amount of standing water consistently collects in front of our driveway and along the sidewalk area, creating a recurring drainage issue. The deepest area of the pooled water has been measured at approximately 8 inches deep (see attached photo documentation). This standing water creates a safety concern, particularly for toddlers and small children. Our 3-year-old child and other young children in the neighborhood use this area, and we are concerned about the risk of a child accidentally falling into the pooled water. The location of the standing water near a residential sidewalk creates an additional pedestrian safety concern. The water obstructs the sidewalk and, during heavier rainfall, pools and flows into the street. We believe this condition may be related to a drainage, stormwater, grading, or infrastructure issue. We respectfully request an inspection to determine the cause of the water accumulation and whether corrective action, drainage improvements, or repairs are needed to address this recurring safety hazard.
