I am a tenant at this property and my minor child is currently staying here. The landlord has been repeatedly notified in writing of the conditions described below and asked to investigate and repair them. Several remain unresolved. Electrical: Over the last few weeks there have been repeated losses of electrical power at the property, including power being restored and subsequently failing again. I have repeatedly asked the landlord to have the electrical problems investigated and repaired. Alterations/construction: Walls have been erected on the ground floor, closing off areas that were previously common living areas and preventing tenant access to those areas. I have checked the City's permit records and the only current building permit I have found covers attic work. I have not found a permit covering the alterations on the ground floor. I am requesting that Code Enforcement determine whether this work is permitted and code-compliant. Cellar/laundry area: I was told that property needed to be removed from the cellar for construction. I asked in writing for information about the proposed work, including its scope and timing, but this information was not provided. My access to the cellar has since been removed, so I cannot determine what work, if any, is taking place there. Property from the cellar was moved into the laundry area despite my repeatedly stating in writing that I did not consent to my property being moved. Some of the property belongs to me and much of it does not. The laundry area has now been substantially obstructed for several days, as shown in the attached photographs, restricting access to and use of the area. Other current conditions: The clothes dryer provided at the property is not operational. I documented that it would not power on before the most recent whole-house electrical outage. There is also substantially reduced water pressure at multiple fixtures, including upstairs and at the downstairs shower, while the downstairs basin tap appears to have normal pressure. These conditions have also been reported to the landlord. I am requesting inspection of the electrical system, the ground-floor alterations closing off former common areas, the cellar/construction area, the obstructed laundry area, the non-operational dryer, and the water-pressure issue.
