Significant Mold Contamination and Unsafe Living Conditions I am filing an official complaint regarding the extensive mold contamination in our rental home and the property management’s failure to address this issue before allowing us to move in. The property was advertised as available for immediate move-in. We moved into the home on **Monday, October 12, 2026**, only to discover significant mold contamination. The property managers were aware of the mold issue before our move-in date but failed to properly remediate the problem before allowing our family to occupy the property. I am currently seven months pregnant, and we have a 13-month-old daughter living in the home. Following an inspection, we were instructed not to use the heating system because the furnace is located in the same room as the mold and could potentially circulate contaminated air throughout the home. This situation is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about our family’s health, safety, and the habitability of the property. We were not made aware of these conditions before moving in and should not have been placed in this position, particularly given my pregnancy and our young child. I am requesting immediate action to address these hazardous conditions, properly remediate the mold, and restore safe living conditions. I request a prompt response outlining how Wellington Property Management intends to resolve this matter, especially given that we have been advised not to use the home’s heating system. The failure to address these issues before move-in has placed our family in an extremely stressful and potentially unsafe situation. I expect this complaint to be taken seriously and addressed with the urgency it warrants. Thank you for your support and we appreciate your response and resources.
