Today, 10/30/26, The City of Oakland destroyed my street tree that I planted many years ago. They ripped off a huge limb and created major damage to the main trunk. They left the remaining huge limb on the side walk with no note, no apology. Thanks City of Oakland. Please make up for it by returning and sawing up the huge limb on the sidewalk and removing all the destroyed branch from the sidewalk. As an FYI, I intentionally raked away all the leaves from the inner curb to be about 5 feet from the curb so this wouldn't happen. I often do this on Friday mornings and many times the street sweeper doesn't even come. This is the thanks I get for paying my taxes every year. Do I sound upset? Yes, I am.
