I am reporting tree removal and safety concerns at our building, managed by Raj Properties. Management hired Guzman Landscaping to cut down longstanding trees without providing residents with advance notice. We have not seen any posted City of Oakland permits or signage explaining the work, and we are requesting verification that the removal is authorized and complies with applicable requirements. The contractor is also blocking the building’s main entrance, creating an access and safety concern, particularly for seniors and families who live here. We request that someone from the City of Oakland’s permitting office visit the property to inspect the work and verify that any required permits and approvals have been obtained. Please also address the blocked entrance promptly.
