Speeding and cut-through traffic on Ocean View Drive despite existing speed bumps I live on Ocean View Drive between College Avenue and McMillan Street. We witness near misses every week and are asking for help before someone is seriously hurt. Drivers use this residential stretch as a cut-through route from Broadway and Highway 24. Despite two speed bumps with 15 mph advisory signs, cars take the hilltop bend too fast, where visibility is limited for pedestrians and drivers, then speed down the straightaway. The street is narrow, with parking on both sides. Vehicles often have to pull aside to let opposing traffic pass. Many toddlers and older residents live here and need more time to cross. In these conditions, I believe 25 mph is too fast. Please review this stretch for a lower legal speed limit and additional traffic safety measures. I've seen an Oakland Streets crew working on McMillan Street; please identify that work and advise whether coordination is possible.
