Dear City Officials, I am writing to urgently report the severe and escalating crisis caused by the homeless encampment located between East 10th Street and 9th Street in Oakland, CA. The location poses an immediate danger to our family neighborhood due to: • Public Health & Safety: Open drug use, discarded paraphernalia, and biohazardous waste along public walkways. • Severe Disturbances: Erratic behavior and loud yelling at all hours, depriving residents of sleep and peace of mind. • Parking & Access Deficits: Encampment sprawl and debris that severely deplete neighborhood parking. • Economic Harm: Hazardous conditions that deter prospective tenants, making it impossible to lease local housing. This location is entirely untenable. We urgently request that the City of Oakland prioritize this site for immediate outreach, cleanup, and resolution.
