The encampment has steadily grown bigger and bigger from a single tent to nearly taking more than half of the island rest area. There's debris and broken glass scattered in the surrounding area. They've been dragging more trash and hazardous materials surrounding the space into the street. They've made fires right next to the huge tree with electric cables above for potential fire hazards and further damage.
