#23081203
Note: please read this request carefully. The last request was closed after the post was misinterpreted. The “no right turn” sign when exiting the off ramp at the intersection of Irwin and 2nd is far too small, high, and dim to be effective. It makes the intersection more dangerous and appears to be more of a “Light Bright” than a proper street sign. Please note that this request is NOT referring to the signage preventing people from turning right from Second street onto the off-ramp, but rather is referring to the sign that lights up telling people when they can and cannot turn right onto Second St from the offramp (from 101 north at the Central San Rafael exit). Suggestion: replace with larger sign with proper iconography of a right arrow with a red circle and slash through it. Potentially mount lower as well. The current sign requires too much concentration on the behalf of the driver to navigate safely, and therefore makes the intersection dangerous to navigate. The current sign appears to be a budget solution rather than the standard illuminated sign that is commonly used in intersections, and the subpar nature of the sign creates a safety concern.
