I am writing to formally request immediate inspection, clear-out, and maintenance of the public catch basin located between my house and my neighbor’s property, 41 & 49 Bryn Mawr Drive. This catch basin has not been regularly maintained or inspected by the Public Works department, and as a result, it consistently overflows and causes localized flooding during heavy rains. With a severe El Niño weather pattern predicted for this winter, this neglected infrastructure poses an immediate and severe flooding risk to both of our residential properties. Because the basin is already neglected and blocked with debris, it will not handle the upcoming seasonal runoff. Please dispatch a crew to clear out the basin and ensure it is fully operational before the first major winter storm.
