Description

I am reporting an active life-safety hazard regarding an illegal commercial warehouse being used as a residence. The owner has been illegally renting the commercial warehouse structure as a residence, and circumvented fire-safety codes. There are two lofted mezzanine bedrooms with no secondary fire egress. The only exit is a garage door at the front of the building. In addition, the mezzanine floor is dangerous and needs replaced. These issues were cited in a 2023 blight report that was "self-certified" but the issues have not been fixed. Due to the immediate threat of human life, I am requesting an immediate inspection.
