This side of Oakland has been neglected for far too long, and we are asking city officials to show that they care about our community. When you travel to other parts of Oakland, including downtown, you can see streets and sidewalks that have been repaired and improved multiple times, while our side of town continues to be overlooked. This roadway is traveled by motorists every day and is in desperate need of repairs and improvements. There is no need to provide pictures because the condition of our streets and the ongoing neglect of this area are already well known. This is just one of many streets in our community that need attention. We are asking the City of Oakland to stop overlooking our neighborhood and take action to repair our streets, improve our infrastructure, and provide our community with the same level of care and attention given to other parts of the city. Our community deserves safe, well-maintained streets, and we deserve to be heard.
