Homeless encampment located on Castro Street behind the Preservation Park band stand area continues to increase - now staff and tenants are experiencing/witnessing active drug use, barriers on entering and exit, one or more homeless are sleeping on the exterior stairs to the entrance of the 2nd floor office space referred to Higgins House within the Park. This group of individuals are cutting through our electrical wires to use a blow dryer - see picture. This encampment is costing the Park money on repairs and a hazard for our tenants who use Castro Street to park in the 2 reserved parking spaces as well as entering the building. The tents are increasing, they are using both sides of the street and they have a circus like tent cover taking up more space.
