This is a new complaint related to a recurring issue previously reported to Code Enforcement. I am a tenant at 269 24th Street, Unit 921, Oakland, CA 94612. My fiancé and I are the original tenants, having moved in February 2025. Beginning in approximately March 2025, we have experienced recurring water contamination with visible black and green particulate matter in our tap water and bathtub. We reported this to our landlord (NASH-Holland 24th & Waverly Investors, LLC / Holland Residential) multiple times. Due to the intermittent nature of the problem, we have not been able to recreate it on demand, as the contamination occurs sporadically. In June 2026, we had the water independently tested by McCampbell Analytical (CA ELAP #1644). Results confirmed: Copper 16,900 µg/L (over 13x the EPA action level of 1,300 µg/L), Lead 11.7 µg/L, Iron 3,610 µg/L, Manganese 66.5 µg/L. Our landlord entered a settlement agreement with us in late October 2026. Despite the settlement, on November 4, 2026 — only 8 days later — the contamination returned with visible black and green residue in the bathtub. Maintenance visited both November 4 and November 5, 2026. We have photographic and video evidence, a certified lab report, and a water sample collected November 4, 2026. We are requesting an inspection of the unit and building water supply.
