Description

LOCATION: The motorcycles are ON THE SIDEWALK, not in the street. Look flush against the building wall of 2865 Golden Gate Ave (pale yellow two-story building, house number 2865 posted beside the front door), next to the gas meters, beside a bicycle and an orange traffic cone, in front of a large bush. They have been there continuously and never move. This is an ongoing, repeatedly reported condition. Two motorcycles are parked long-term on the public sidewalk. (1) Black Honda, Oregon plate M763788, registration sticker reads 6/19 (expired over six years). (2) Black cruiser-style motorcycle with red flame seat, California plate 18W8437 (sticker Aug 2027), with a traffic cone placed on the sidewalk next to it. Resident measured the bikes about 12 ft (146 in) from the curb face; the City's official sidewalk width on this block is 15 ft (official sidewalk widths under Ordinance No. 1061, tracked by SF Public Works), so they sit within the public sidewalk, violating CA Vehicle Code 22500(f). A citation was issued on Oct 28 (case #202000235979) and a ticket is visible on one bike, but neither motorcycle has been moved; please re-cite, and tow as a repeat/continuing violation and, for M763788, for registration expired over six months (CVC 22651(o)). Prior cases: #202000205463, #202000208993, #202000221897, #202000226117, #202000232400, #202000235979, #202000239367 (closed Oct 29 as "could not be validated"), and abandoned-vehicle case #202000248339 (open). Please send an officer in daylight to check the sidewalk against the building.
