A newly installed Flock camera pole at this location appears to be a rigid fixed object close to the roadway. No breakaway base or plate is externally visible in the attached photos; the pole appears to enter directly into the ground. Please have Public Works or Traffic Engineering inspect the installation and verify its setback, crashworthiness, and compliance with applicable roadside-safety requirements. If it is not appropriately breakaway or otherwise compliant, please arrange for it to be retrofitted, relocated, or removed. This report does not assert that the installation is noncompliant; I am requesting an engineering inspection because of the potential hazard to motorists. Please provide the inspection findings and any corrective action taken.
