Driveway Entrance – Asphalt Grading, Water Pooling, and Vehicle Clearance Concerns I'm requesting an assessment of the asphalt and grading along the street where it meets my driveway. The current transition between the roadway and driveway appears uneven or improperly graded, causing two concerns: Water pooling: Water collects near the driveway entrance rather than draining properly. I'm concerned this could contribute to long-term deterioration of the driveway and surrounding concrete. Vehicle clearance: The steep transition causes the front underside of my vehicle to scrape when entering or exiting the driveway. I'd appreciate guidance on whether the City can evaluate and potentially correct the asphalt grading or drainage conditions at this location. If this is the homeowner's responsibility, I'd also appreciate recommendations on appropriate solutions, such as a driveway transition ramp, and whether permits or City approval would be required. My goal is to find a long-term solution that improves drainage while allowing vehicles to enter and exit safely without scraping.
