I am writing to formally report severe safety violations observed during the Lincoln High School Dragon Boat team's water practices at Lake Merced. During practices held on Mondays 4-6 , Wednesdays 3-5:30, and Saturdays 9-12, the team is utilizing unregistered and uncertified boat steerers. Most concerningly, one of the three boats is currently being piloted by an uncertified minor without a registered adult steerer onboard. This unsafe conduct has been ongoing for the past two weeks. While these violations have already been reported to the CDBA governing body, no corrective action has been taken and the behavior continues. I urge you to investigate this matter immediately to prevent a serious accident or injury.
Case Resolved. RPD reached out to CDBA who has no record of this complaint. They will investigate further. Any further issues should be directed to president@cdba.org.
