Under San Francisco Public Works Code § 724, occupation of public street or sidewalk space generally requires authorization. I am requesting that Public Works investigate whether a valid permit exists for this specific location and whether the placement complies with the permit's authorized purpose, boundaries, and duration. If the portable toilet is associated with work at another property, please verify that its placement outside that property's frontage has been expressly authorized. If no valid authorization exists, I request that the City require its removal and restore the public right-of-way to its intended use.
