Description

Hello, I am a San Francisco resident writing to report repeated, unwanted solicitation on the sidewalk by canvassers who appear to be fundraising for The Nature Conservancy. I am approached 3 to 4 times a day, every day, near 9th Avenue and Irving Street, typically in the morning and afternoon. I have declined many times, clearly and politely, and they continue to approach me. They often block the crosswalk and follow me as I am walking even after I decline and say no. There is no way for me to opt out, and it has become a daily disruption to simply walking through my own neighborhood. I am asking for the following: 1. That this be logged as a recurring sidewalk complaint for this area. 2. Information on any permit, registration, or conduct rules that apply to these canvassers, and who I should contact to enforce them. 3. Guidance on how to report specific incidents, including any in which a person blocks my path or follows me after I decline. Thank you for your help.
